Moticont releases SDLM-025-070-01-01 direct drive linear motor

Oct. 7, 2016 – The SDLM-025-070-01-01 direct drive linear motor from Moticont, also known as an electric cylinder, boasts a built-in encoder, zero backlash, zero cogging, and provides users with “high acceleration, high speed, high resolution, and long life.” 

The motor features 1.25 µm (0.000049 in.) in of resolution, and offers a stroke length of 0.500 in. (12.7 mm), a continuous force rating of 22.2 oz. (5.9 N) and peak force of 67.2 oz (18.7 N). Both ends of the motor and shaft ends are drilled and tapped for “easy” integration into new and existing applications. According to Moticont, suitable applications for the unit include manufacturing, semiconductor handling, inspection, door and valve actuators, and agricultural equipment.
